The Baroness

The Lady Kinfauns is the wife of the baron of Kinfauns. She has led the restoration of Newhall House and Estate in County Clare, Ireland.

She was born in London in 1964, the second youngest of six daughters. Her father, a Polish veteran of the Second World War, served as an anti-aircraft gunner in Scotland. Unable to return to Poland after the war, he settled in London and married an Englishwoman. His family, Warzęta Korwin z Ślepowrony, bears the Ślepowron arms and is recorded among the Polish nobility from 1224.

At Newhall the Baroness has overseen the restoration of the house, Killone Abbey and the Holy Well of St John the Baptist, working with the project manager Alan Foudy. Newhall remains a family home, and part of the estate is being developed as a wellness retreat.

The Baroness and her husband had three children, two sons and a daughter. Their son Ronan died in 2023. He had long wished to bring the wider family together, and the revival of Clan Ó Comáin, recognised by Clans of Ireland in 2025, owes something to that wish.

Her father’s war service was in Scotland, and she has remarked that “Kinfauns may have had something to do with my father in Scotland.”

Her interests include garden design, traditional Irish crafts and Marian devotion.
